Criticism

In the "Criticism" section, there's this sentence: "In January 2008, Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission has filed a case against GP's two former CEO's and other officials for involvement in illegal VoIP business.[27]" The references cited is a news article on BdNews24.com, linked here - http://www.bdnews24.com/details.php?cid=2&id=37708 - which has absolutely no relation to that sentence. The article linked discusses violent disruptions to voting for the Bangladesh Chhatra League president. Perhaps the wrong link was entered. --'Kash (talk) 12:26, 7 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Rebranding to Telenor

Fraud Schemes by Grameenphone

  • Grameenphone makes money with many bad tricks to its users which falls into Fraud Scehmes. Recently they offered an Internet package titled P6 that costs only 350/- BDT for 1 GB/month use. But after one month, the package is switched to it's P1 package automatically and starts deducting money at a huge rate from the balance.
  • Last year Grameenphone offered a promotional rate of 0.25 BDT/min to its subscribers for FnF numbers, but suddenly they changed to 0.49 BDT/min without any notice. Subscribers had to notice it after they lost a lot of money.
  • This company offered another promotional campaign for the last few months of call rate 0.49 BDT/min to any GP-GP number with a lots of publicity by flooding the media but this month they increased the rate to 0.99 BDT/min with very few adverts at the media that will not be noticed by most of its subscribers and they would discover this after loosing a lot of their valuable money.

The company should be sued for doing these fraud activities to its subscribers.--Gphealer (talk) 04:40, 21 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Conflicts of interest

I would like to point out that this article currently to a significant degree is written by Grameenphone themselves, especially the "Criticism" section, which was written by https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/202.56.5.178, an IP address registered to "GPHOUSE", which is Grameenphone's headquarters. This section comes nowhere near neutrality and is only used by Grameenphone to defend themselves. Haakon (talk)
