Requested move 14 March 2016

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: No consensus – Someone already did a move to add the year. The question of place might best be addressed in an new RM with a clear proposal and evidence. The question of year could also be re-opened. Probably both at once is too confusing to attract opinions. (non-admin closure) Dicklyon (talk) 02:18, 26 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Have there been any other terror attacks in Ivory Coast? Jim Michael (talk) 11:16, 14 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

There appears to be no need for the year or settlement to be specified in the title of this article. Jim Michael (talk) 13:21, 14 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • House style normally adds the year, and there's no point in obfuscating the location. Grand-Bassam is well known, that's where it happened. Google hits are interesting, but nothing more. The Rambling Man (talk) 13:40, 14 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Well then we'd never put the year of the event in the title. And as you know, that happens all the time. The Rambling Man (talk) 13:48, 14 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

WP:RECOGNIZABLE, "Ivory Coast beach attack" is most recognizable (search engine wise, and general recognition). Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL Baking Soda (talk) 07:25, 26 April 2016 (UTC)[reply

Previous RM close recommended a new request to address question of place. Baking Soda (talk) 14:14, 26 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
My !vote stands. This is a frivolous waste of time. The Rambling Man (talk) 18:50, 28 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
