Not Public Domain

I did some further checking, and the first apeparaance of the character (per links cited on the page) was in Fighting Yank. I've clarified this on the main page, and removed the public domain citation. I left the following, now outdated posts. 24.176.0.225 01:37, 26 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The first appearance of this character was in Wonder Comics. Per the list I made in Category:Nedor Comics superheroes, that was not renewed, so he is (pending independent verification) public domain.

{There's a slim possibility that the artist or writer registered the work independently, but to date I have found no '40's renewals like that (except for Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster's and Joe Simon's over, respectively, Superman and Captain America. There's also evidence that the Funnies, Inc. folks might have files something -- the renewal rights of early Marvel (per records cited on the Nedor Talk page) were tied up for several years. 24.176.0.225 01:35, 23 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
