Content split query

I confess that I am puzzled about the reason for the split of this content into separate pages for

copying withing Wikipedia, none of which appear to have been followed.--CharlieDelta (talk) 08:40, 1 April 2012 (UTC)[reply

The reason I split it is that they are two different rivers and in different provinces. One is a tributary of the Gourits River and the other is a tributary of the Gamtoos River and this is made very clear in the text; already at the top it says This article is about the tributary of the Gourits River and This article is about the tributary of the Gamtoos River respectively. There is a map as well. If they would have been the same river, I would not have created a new page; the bot sent its message while I was working on it. Xufanc (talk) 08:59, 1 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the explanation.--CharlieDelta (talk) 21:30, 1 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
