Status of Hexanauplia

@

WP:TOL
position seems to be that obsolete taxa don't get taxoboxes, although this is not a position I agree with.

I think there is a case for retaining this article. While the status of Hexanauplia has been questioned and WoRMS has removed it, I'm not convinced the matter is settled. It may be that the support is currently weak and will become stronger on further study or it might be rejected. In the meantime, this article serves a purpose. When I removed Hexanauplia from the classification in Multicrustacea I added a brief note on Hexanauplia with a link to this article, which seemed a suitable arrangement. The alternative is to expand that note to a brief section on the Hexanauplia hypothesis and convert this article to a redirect. On balance I prefer retaining this article for now, but either way it shouldn't be deleted.

Note: there is a discussion of Hexanauplia on the Arthropod project page at Hexanauplia_is_unaccepted_by_WoRMS. —  Jts1882 | talk  16:54, 20 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Jts1882, not a problem. I'll add to the discussion saying what I did. Anyone is free to remove the PROD if they wish, I won't take it to AfD. I only restored the template to get rid of the error condition. YorkshireExpat (talk) 19:17, 20 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
