When did Fabricius first become professor?
The cited source says he took over Fallopius's position in 1565 but does not say Fabricius became a professor in 1562. Elsewhere I have seen both used.

Valves
Fabricius did not call them valves, but ostiole. This is important because it represents a change in paradigm by his student William Harvey, who did call them valves. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Chrystomath2 (talk • contribs) 14:23, 10 November 2019 (UTC)
