Verify this! There is more to Terrell Mill than tax money spent on access roads to Atlanta. John Terrell was 16 years old when he joined the Southern Army to protect his homeland. In less than a year he was captured and sent to a prison camp in New Jersey. After being jailed for 9 months, John Terrell was paroled (meaning he was swapped for a yankee soilder, and told not to fight any more.

− − And he didn't fight until he got back to Cobb County and found yankee troops trying to take Kennesaw Mt. He was in the fight for weeks until he was shot in the chest with a large exit hole in the center of his back. He was allowed to return home to heal but there was no more fighting for him.

− − My Grandmother was John Terrell's daughter. The war was over about 15 years but my Grandmother had to change the dressing on her father's back 3 times a day. She said her fist would fit in the hole.

− − Terrell had miles of property and farmed it for years. His grist mill ground most of the grain in East Cobb, which included Roswell at that time. In appreciation for his service, Cobb County named the road running thru his property, Terrell Mill Rd.

In keeping with other articles on Wikipedia similar to this one, I wonder if the name should change to "List of historic mills of the Atlanta area". Any thoughts? --TadgStirkland⁴⁰¹ (Tadg^Talk) 16:59, 18 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I doubt that anyone cares, or rather will care proactively but may very well care reactively, but I intend to review this article's sub-sections for deviations from the stated topic: Historic Mills...". A casual review of a few has shown that some have tended towards community boosterism, disucussions of the roads named after the mills, and exposition on waterways. I'm also interested in adding context for non-local readers, i.e. geographic references to Atlanta proper (south east of, in Gwinnett County, etc). Not, I suspect, that anyone really cares. ;) I probably wouldn't except for some reason I decided today that I do. Snozzwanger (talk) 01:10, 17 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
