Oppose merging. The former Hollywood Masonic Temple and the current El Capitan Theatre are two separate historic buildings with individual histories, and are listed as two separate Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monuments. The former building is also classified on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places, while the latter has not been named as one yet. As for a page move, I'm neutral on that matter. Oppose. The reason for its inclusion on Wikipedia is its historic association and architecture. This is not changed by a change in usage. -- Necrothesp (talk) 11:14, 9 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- The move request is not inspired by the change in usage... but by the change in NAME. We do usually move an article title when the subject of the article has changed his/her/its name. The NRHP listing is out of date. The majority of modern, up-to-date sources now call the building "El Capitan Entertainment Centre". So should we. Blueboar (talk) 16:36, 11 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
