Use of "planktic"
@Jdrawer:Plankton § Terminology says that planktonic is widely used in both the scientific and popular literature, and is a generally accepted term. It does not say it's incorrect, and the article itself uses planktonic just slightly more than it uses planktic. If uniformity is what you're striving for, a more concerted effort will be needed to move the 1,251 articles that use planktonic to the 33 articles that utilize planktic. This indicates that, although technically more grammatical, the word is not used widely. (GScholar is 429,000 hits vs. 23,900 hits.) Rhinopias (talk) 19:56, 10 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
