I don't think this article is entirely accurate. I've always thought the title is given to those who have not (yet) reached the status of a mujtahid. BhaiSaab ^talk 20:56, 18 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please only list people in this section who qualify as notable under Wikipedia criteria. In general, either the person is already the subject of an article, or they are prominently named in an article (for example, as a member of parliament), or you are getting started on writing that article. If the person's status as a Hujjat al-Islam is not mentioned in their Wikipedia article please include a citation to a reliable source for that information. If they are notable, have no article, but are prominently named in a Wikipedia article, please use a piped link to that article (and section) from their name. If you are inserting a name prefatory to writing the article about a notable person, please cite a source after their name here for both their notability and for their status as a Hujjat al-Islam. The following have been removed from the list pending compliance with Wikipedia criteria:

• Syed Nabi Hasan Zaidi aka Syed Nabi ul Hasan Zaidi Najafi, now Ayatollah
• Syed Ali Raza Rizvi
• Sayed Mohammed Naqvi
• Sayyid Muhammad Rizvi
• Syed Mohammad Faiyyaz Baqir Husaini

Ayatollahs should not be listed unless they primarily gained their notability as a Hujjat al-Islam, in which case citation to a reliable source for that fact would be appropriate. --Bejnar (talk) 17:16, 13 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
