I think
- Support: The discussed article is sufficiently niche in scope so as not to be necessary as an independent article and contains content that would enhance this page. @173.24.167.213: Fireboltsilver (talk) 05:16, 19 December 2019 (UTC)
- Support: Seeing as the page Living Torpedoes refers exclusively to humans, kamakaze or suicidal torpedos should be a Sub category of Human Torpedo. 192.77.12.11 (talk) 06:02, 1 June 2022 (UTC)]
The history feels like it starts too late
The very first submarine, the Turtle of 1776, was essentially a human torpedo. The first line should add the word modern: "The modern concept of a tiny manned submarine...." PapayaSF (talk) 02:57, 9 November 2019 (UTC)
Merger proposal (2023)

- There is consensus to merge ]
Seeing as no official consensus was reached last time, I'm reopening the proposed merge of
Merging Living torpedoes here
While the merge seems to have had overwhelming support, the source article is currently littered with citation needed tags, and since I cannot speak Polish to evaluate the given sources myself, I would defer to those who do speak the language for implementing the merger. Felix QW (talk) 11:17, 23 April 2023 (UTC)
- I don't support the merge. The topics overlap slightly, but not fully - I am afraid some previous commentators just looked at the article's names but not the content. Living torpedoes is effectively the human torpedoes in Poland subarticle. It seems relatively well developed, and merging it here would result in an unduly long section. I think I'd prefer to keep things as they are, with a short section on Poland here, and a dedicated, longer subarticle. Merging this here makes about as much sense as merging Kaiten or Chariot manned torpedo would make. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 12:17, 23 April 2023 (UTC)
- PS. Ping @Joyous! who is de facto the only pingable participant of tjhis merge outside the closer (Felix). Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 12:18, 23 April 2023 (UTC)
