I'm not an expert in this field and will not touch the article itself, but it seems some of the figures in this article were shown to be exaggerated or taken out of thin air in a series of articles in The Guardian [1] (even used as a reference in the entry for Moral panic) 213.112.195.81 (talk) 08:49, 6 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

'The victims were discovered in private flats and houses that were being used to house traffickers. These kinds of locations are used because they are not high risk in Scotland.'

Do you mean there was not a high risk of detection? Valetude (talk) 17:47, 4 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This page is very out of date - the UK National Crime Agency has released up to date figures of the situation of human trafficking in the UK which show that there are increasing numbers of victims being recognised in the UK, 3266 in 2015. This page should be changed in order to reflect the existence of human trafficking as a real problem in the UK http://www.nationalcrimeagency.gov.uk/publications/national-referral-mechanism-statistics/676-national-referral-mechanism-statistics-end-of-year-summary-2015 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tobytbo (talkcontribs) 19:04, 3 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
