Today's revert

Looking at the history of this article, it appears that a certain anonymous IP likes to come in and edit this article based upon a non-neutral POV he has. His edit summaries are non-cordial and reveal somewhat his intent. I would recommend fellow editors to keep an eye on this article for edits by this anon IP. --Morenooso (talk) 12:23, 11 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yea, the idea seems to be that the name Bazán is not Basque, so his mother must have not been Basque. I'm not sure how strong an argument that is--do surnames in Spain always indicate ethnicity with no exceptions? Seems hard to believe, but what do I know? I'm just quoting the source I had when writing the page. The book is impressively researched and seems highly reliable, but certainly the author could have made a mistake. Still, without another source about Ignacio's parents I see no reason to dismiss Tovell. Pfly (talk) 22:30, 8 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
