We already have an article named "Jón Thoroddsen junior". Shouldn't this one be named "Jón Thoroddsen senior"? Albeit a non-native speaker of English, I find the sound of the latter a bit more sophisticated plus that it looks more in style with the former than "Jón Thoroddsen elder". I'm not very familiar with the ways of Wikipedia and don't dare just to go ahead and change the title of an article.
