NPOV cleanup request

I'm not really sure why the Joey Dee/Starliters bio is said to read like an advertisement; I've re-read the article several times and I don't see any red flags. If somebody can enlighten me, I'll be happy to revise the text where necessary. Thank you. Laura Pinto 23:15, 10 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I too don't see anything too amiss here, except there are no sources sited. Statements like "they were such a smash hit . . .", although undoubtedly true, need to be sourced. Wschart 19:10, 14 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Chart peak "Shout"

"Successful singles spawned from Hey, Let's Twist were the title track and "Shout - Part I," which became the group's second-biggest selling record, reaching #8 on the U.S. charts." (version 04 Feb 2011)

Racially integrated group

This needs to be sourced, but my understanding is the Starliters were the first racially integrated group to be a major success. White groups had used black musicians before, and vice versa, but call up the group's 1962 TV performances and it stands out that they had a black backup singer, guitarist (the article states Jimi Hendrix once filled the role) and drummer.
