Why is this titled John Eliot (statesman) and not John Eliot?

Good question. I will move the article to "John Eliot", since there is not another John Eliot in the database. -- Cordyph 17:18 Mar 16, 2003 (UTC)

There is now. My connection was cut off while I was in the middle of editing, so I have moved it back and created the disambiguation page. Deb 18:51 Mar 16, 2003 (UTC)

Richard Eliot should be merged here, because he's only known as John's son, and hence doesn't deserve his own page. --Colapeninsula (talk) 13:32, 23 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
