Deletion
One or two users, who did not appear to have Wikipedia accounts, added a spurious 'other persons with this name' section to this otherwise legitimate article. The initial justification for inserting this was 'the lack of notoriety of J. H. of St Andrews'; apparently that user's definition of 'lack of notoriety' was 'someone I haven't heard of', but the notoriety of this J.H. was attested to by external sources. The person to whom the additions refered referred lacked notoriety, in accordance with relevant Wikipedia guidelines.
If the user(s) wish to persist in claiming that this other John Honey is notorious enough to merit an article, they should set up a disambiguation page and a new article (which will no doubt be deleted once its lack of relevance is established), instead of trying to sabotage this one. Why?
We are twats, I'm sorry. Our intitial justification was that J.H. of St. Andrews is extremely significant, but that also other J.H.'s are significant and that people searching for them should be able to easily find these names as well. John Honey the director is well-known. John Honey of USF is less known but highly regarded by all of us at USF. I'm sorry you don't live in South Florida and therefore haven't heard of the man. How is that his fault, or a logical argument towards his significance. If you wanted external sources then we would have provided them. Everything said was true. You can speak in whatever pedagogical masterbation masturbation you want. The page was part of a class project as an award for an exemplinary exemplary student. Half our class worked on it. Thanks for deleting the unsaved work, jackass. Yea, this might not be wikipedia talk, but if your work was erased then criticized you'd be upset to. You could have emailed us by the link provided before deleting the information, like a man and not a puss. Take your stupid website. The whole things a joke, according to NY Times.

First of all, if you knew anything at all about Wikipedia you'd realise that nothing is ever deleted from it - all you have to do to get a look at any previous version is click on the 'History' tab at the top. Go on, try it - you'll see I haven't deleted a thing, just changed what comes up when someone searches on the term, clicks a link, or whatever. Second, that you couldn't grasp even this basic operation explains why you apparently also have no conception of what constitutes 'notoriety', and having a few friends just ain't it.

Ignorence Ignorance is sometimes quite ugly
While I am sure that your classmate is important to you; he is (at least currently) of no great significance beyond your immediate community. John Honey died rescuing men at sea at great personal risk to himself. It is an insult to this hero’s memory to use his page as a platform for a comic send-up of one of your personal friends.
Indeed if any one could write an article about an individual they know, on any page, simply because two individuals have the same name then Wikipedia would be of no use to any one.
If you still believe that your classmate deserves his own page I suggest you start a new one and do not insult the memory of John Honey of the Royal Burgh of St Andrews amongst the Scots. —The preceding

a quick word of peace and hope
this is john honey, the non-significant one, and i would like to say to my classmates: i appreciate your work, care and everything else you feel or have done for me. This isn't a big deal and its not worth getting in an argument or vandelizing someone's page--how would that show on my character. just leave it alone. if my life were defined by a wikipedia page than it wouldn't be worth admiring.
to the man who values the scot: i apologize and hope it won't continue. i think i've settled everything down. though, please don't call them ignorant, don't use childish insults, and don't make mean statements against my country. anyone can correct spelling, thats far from intelligence. and for both sides to resort to calling each other twats and queers looks bad for both parties. They're intelligent, as i assume you're intelligent, and this whole drama is probably just misunderstanding and differing values from both sides. sorry for every thing. enjoy your website. its very nice and i hope you genuinely have a good day. the wikipedia rules are here for a reason and i respect you for using them. i hope this letter can be interpreted as a loving remark with no sarcasm or bitterness in hopes of healing the online community.
