Here is my first draft of article John M. Falcone, city of Poughkeepsie police office who was killed in the line of duty in February 2011. Falcone has been posthumously promoted to Detective. He risked and gave his life to save a 3-year old girl from her own father. He is a hero to many and deserves to be recognized on Wikipedia for anyone searching for information about him. I plan on editing this article more as time permits.

I'm trying to figure out how to add the CATEGORIES at the bottom of the article. I wanted to add "List of American police officers killed in the line of duty", but I'm struggling with that.

I have more paragraphs to add about the details of Falcone's career and untimely death.

Please let me know how I can improve this article to hopefully one day get it approved.
