Oppose. He's primarily played and worked in the sport in the U.S.,[1] where "soccer" is the preferred disambiguator per

Support - the majority of his playing career was at Sligo Rovers in Ireland, and he is Irish. Seems reasonable to me. — Amakuru (talk) 17:13, 25 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It looks like he only had two seasons with the Sligo Rovers. He had four seasons of college soccer in the U.S. and another two in the American pros, and has been a coach there ever since.--Cúchullain ^t/c 18:06, 25 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Cuchullain: It does not matter where he has played the majority of his career, it only matters what his nationality is. Per NCSP, "If the person is neither American, Canadian nor Australian, use (footballer)" ; he is Irish, so it should be footballer. Joeykai (talk) 09:02, 2 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
