Kalidas is widely believed to have been born in Vidarbha, and not in Malwa. There is also a memorial there. I tried to upload an image about this memorial, but it seems that the image will take some time to appear. Please don't delete it. --Wikindian 19:20, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

Kalidasa called as Shakespear of India.
How could one call Kalidasa who lived centuries before Shakespear was even born be called him as Shakespear of India?? it is idiotic to compare two poets of different eras and different languages, culture and religion. 49.249.251.150 (talk) 08:56, 24 January 2024 (UTC)
