Name of article

I know it's difficult to come up with a name that encompasses all the aspects of this story, as the Irish national media themselves have not really found one definitive label either, but is "Merrion Hotel controversy" a strong enough name for this article? The controversy is as much about Zappone's appointment as it is about the gathering at the Merrion Hotel itself. Does anyone have some alternative names in mind that might make for a more suitable article title? I'm not saying the current one is bad, I'm just entertaining the possibility that a better name *might* be available. CeltBrowne (talk) 17:00, 5 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

As the user who created the page, I agree that it might need a better name. I chose "Merrion Hotel controversy" on the spot as I wanted to create the page as soon as possible, as the controversy was evolving. I see that TheJournal.ie called the controversy "Merrion Gate" - https://www.thejournal.ie/zappone-reaction-5515234-Aug2021/ - that might be the informal name of this. Could it be renamed to "Katherine Zappone controversy" perhaps? Edl-irishboy (talk) 17:53, 5 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I've been bold and moved it to "Katherine Zappone controversy" as it is not only about the event in the hotel but also Zappone's proposed job, the reaction to it, and also the motion of no confidence in Simon Coveney. Spleodrach (talk) 12:00, 18 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
