Isn't it kind of odd that this is the article that outlines the plan to splice the Bergen Hudson Light Rail with the Newark City Subway and extend it to Paterson? And without mentioning it in the articles for those three rail lines? Jim.henderson (talk) 05:17, 20 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Whose project, scheme or movement? Thus far there are just two links to what appear to be the personal site or blog of a private individual. No reference is supplied for a politician or transit company or state agency or municipal department or long established institution (Regional Plan Association?) that's pushing it. WMCA transmitter towers - still up

"Famous 1960s pop music station, WMCA AM 570, "The Home Of The Good Guys", used to broadcast from a 3-tower transmitter site on the Hackensack River, in Kearny. The transmitters were visible from the New Jersey Turnpike. The towers were demolished in January, 2007" Uhhhhh.. (I took that two weeks ago)

You are correct. The towers that are down but visible in the water (or at least the capacitance tophats are still visible) are the demolished WNEW towers that were used until WNEW moved in 1968. I will delete that sentence, and look for some decent sources to add in the former transmitter locations of WNEW and WAAT/WJRZ, which was demolished to make way for the western spur of the Turnpike. John Harkes was not the first American to score at Wembly in the League Cup final of 1993.
The first American to score at Wembley was Mike Masters for Colchester United vs. Whitton Albion, in the F.A Trophy Final, on 10th May 1992.

where it should have said

Penn Central Crash; October 8, 1971

While searching for another topic, I found a link to a Penn Central Railroad accident in Kearny on October 8, 1971. This could be good for the site, but where did Penn Central have a line in Kearny? Orphaned references in Kearny, New Jersey

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Kearny, New Jersey's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
