Too often, editors at Wikipedia forget why we are here - to provide an encyclopedia. The vast majority of the people who use that encyclopedia never create an account, never edit an article, and have no idea what any of our
WikiSpeak
means. And frankly, they don't care. We must take care that we are doing what is in the best interest of these uninvolved readers.
I am an avid
whitewash their life. Wikipedia should seek to preserve knowledge, and deleting any sourced and verifiable article is a bad idea. Preserving negative information which meets our policies is just as important as preserving positive information. With apologies to F. Scott Fitzgerald
