According to Star Sports, total of 375 Kolkata Derby matches have been played so far. EastBengal won 129, MohunBagan won 125 and 121 matches ended without any result. Limca book of records also supports the same. Also, 8th Aug 1921 the 1st ever derby was played, which ended in goalless draw. This is already official, present in Limca book of records.

Derby stat is false, misleading. The current stat before 12th Aug 2023 derby is :: EastBengal won 129, MohunBagan won 126, Drawn : 121.
