Nationality

I've restored "Norwegian-American" to the lead per

WP:BLPLEAD. Multiple reliable sources clearly state her nationality as Norwegian-American (e.g. Vanity Fair, Interview) and our article should reflect what is confirmed is the sources. -- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 19:24, 12 December 2018 (UTC)[reply

I've brought this up on another user's Talk page, as I don't think hyphening like this is how we normally handle dual-nationals... --IJBall (contribstalk) 19:32, 12 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
She looks to be dual national by birth, Norwegian parents born in US. She also has notable activities in both countries.
Norwegian-American is a ethnicity tag meaning Americans with Norwegian ancestry. This is true statement but hides the fact of her Norwegian citizenship. Should be listed as Norwegian and American. There is nothing wrong with and and it makes the situation clear. Geraldo Perez (talk) 19:46, 12 December 2018 (UTC)[reply

Froseth or Frøseth?

I've noticed that sources inconsistently spell her surname with or without a diacritical variant of the letter O (from my understanding, "ø" is considered a completely different letter in the Norwegian language), and in Norwegian and Scandinavian sources her surname is referred to as "Frøseth" almost exclusively.

Examples of Norwegian sources using "Frøseth":

Vogue Scandinavia using "Frøseth":

English and French sources using "Frøseth":

"Froseth" is still the most common spelling in English articles so I'm not necessarily suggesting changing the title of the article, but I think "Frøseth" should at the very least be mentioned in the lead of the article. Cinccino 💬 hethey 12:45, 13 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Cinccino: My advice would be to add the "Frøseth" to the lede parenthetically (e.g. "(Norwegian: Frøseth"). But I don't think it needs to be added to the article beyond this. --IJBall (contribstalk) 02:47, 16 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@IJBall: Thanks, I've edited the lead accordingly. Cinccino 💬 hethey 14:58, 16 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Age

the source about her age was published on September 11, 2018 when she was still 22. With her birthday being 10 days later. Meaning she turned 23 in 2018 after the sources publication which would also mean she was born in 1995 not 1996 Fudgebby (talk) 14:13, 21 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The sourcing seems to support a 1996
DOB
– the first (Dagbladet) source was published 11 September 2018, and states she was 22 (2018 − 22 = 1996) – now that might be problematic as it would be just before her 22nd birthday. The second ref had the wrong publication date listed – I just fixed it: the Elle Australia source was published 17 November 2019. The Elle Australia source not only gives an age of 23 (2019 − 23 = 1996), which confirms 1996, it also clearly states "Kristine Forseth is 23 years old and her birthday is the 21st September, 1996." The second source explicitly confirms the currently listed 1996 YOB.
The first source is of questionable quality – I would support its removal, as it seems to be contradictory, and is of questionable quality.
Beyond that if somebody wants to challenge the currently listed YOB, it will require providing new sources, and will then require a Talk page discussion, as at that point we would have conflicting sources. --IJBall (contribstalk) 14:41, 21 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Her Instagram post confirmed she was born in 1995 Fudgebby (talk) 20:35, 25 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I personally dislike relying on just an
WP:ABOUTSELF Instagram source would be enough. --IJBall (contribstalk) 03:09, 26 September 2022 (UTC)[reply

Model

My edit has been reverted but the Vanity Fair article can't prove Froseth notable for being such IMO. Thedarkknightli (talk) 14:42, 25 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Did you notice I added several other citations as well that discuss her modeling? It is obviously a notable part of her career, I see no reason to remove the categories. Cerebral726 (talk) 14:48, 25 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
