Kurukulla / Kurukulle

The correct form of the name of this deity is Kurukulla. Kurukulle is the vocative form of her name ~ which is why it is used in her mantra. Chris Fynn (talk) 04:46, 28 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

File nominated for deletion on commons

The file c:File:Kurukulla sculpture from Calcutta Art gallery 1913 (2).jpg used in this article has been nominated for deletion on Commons
Reason: This image is identified as Kali, when in fact it is the Buddhist Dakini/meditational goddess named Kurukulla. For more on the iconography of Kurukulla please visit: https://www.himalayanart.org/search/set.cfm?setID=226 Even a preliminary examination will quickly lead to the conclusion that the statue in your uploaded image is indeed Kurukulla, not Kali. I contend that this photo should be removed (or at least renamed) so as to avoid confusion. It was already included in the English-language
