Negative. L2TPv3 is very distinct from L2TP. //Blaxthos ( t / c ) 16:26, 9 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Draft

Current version of the article lists it as a "draft version of L2TP that is proposed". I believe L2TPv3 has been finalized; it is currently implemented broadly across the internet, and has full feature support in most router NOS (IOS, specifically). //Blaxthos ( t / c ) 16:26, 9 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, the article should be updated to reflect that L2TPv3 has been published as a standards track RFC: TFC 3931: http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc3931 I've updated the article to reflect that the standard has been approved by IETF and is established, not just a proposed standard.
