King William's War

Isn't the Lachine massacre the first act of war in King William's War? Creuzbourg (talk) 13:49, 2 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

No. Magic♪piano 02:15, 3 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Why not? It took place after the beginning of the war, and was instigated by the English in New York. Creuzbourg (talk) 07:51, 3 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
It might qualify as the first act of war in the New York/Quebec area, but hostilities of a similar nature (involving hundreds of combatants) took place several months earlier in New England. This is all documented in King William's War. Magic♪piano 11:31, 3 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
