m,.ster is one of the oldest still in operation, but I don't remember enough of the details to add anything about it...

right at the bigging of the history you have the opening date as 1886 and that is closed in 1885.

Classification of major and minor roller coasters

I was wondering what the criteria are for a roller coaster to be classified as major or minor. If it were up to me I would call Jet Star II one of Lagoon's major roller coasters. Knowledgesmith 16:46, 22 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think there is one, I looked at the roller coaster database, it's just an opinion. At any rate, I don't think that "puff" should be on the list with them.

Phone Numbers

In the Infobox, it says "Phone Numbers", but next to it there is only one listed. Is this a typo, or is it so written with the assumption that there will be another added at some point? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.161.208.225 (talk) 22:56, 20 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There is more than one number, and yes, it was spelled that way so that someone could add numbers (if necessary) to the Infobox. The reason that no one has in all this time may be that there are probably more numbers on the website than would need to be listed in this infobox. The different numbers are based on calling the park from different locations (.e.g. from Salt Lake County or other locations). I guess if no one wants to check the website for the appropriate #'s(myself being too lazy), maybe I'll change the spelling to "Phone Number", and if someone wants to add the other appropriate numbers, then they can change it back to "Phone Numbers". 98.202.38.225 (talk) 18:25, 26 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Lagoon in song

The Beach Boys had a song about Salt Lake City that mentioned Lagoon -- they also played there a number of times. I believe I went to three of the Beach Boys concerts at Lagoon. Also, is there any historical information on the live steam locomotives for the train ride? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.23.233.97 (talk) 21:15, 10 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The Laser from Dorney Park was relocated to Germany and is still in operation. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laser_(roller_coaster) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.90.114.2 (talk) 20:44, 30 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

controversy section

Added section on citations from USDA over 15 years that has drawn the attention of some animal rights groups. Referenced to the hilt. The structure of this page was such that I couldn't decide if this should just be a bullet in the 2000-present section or a section all it's own. Could go either way. Discuss if need be. Cheers. This is no different from any other zoological institution. They are all cited by PETA or some other group at one point or another. I remember in the 90s animal groups were protesting Lagoon. Now depending on what the USDA citations were we could focus a little on that, but again there are so many laws and regulations that most organizations that are that highly regulated, not just zoological have had at least one violation. My thought is maybe include one sentence in the body of the article. VVikingTalkEdits 22:24, 24 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
