There is apparently a suggestion to merge this into the Sudan article. Not sure who suggested it or the rationale, but I would vote a strong "No." In general I would argue for more development of "Languages of ..." articles for African countries, giving an overview of what languages are spoken, history, language policy, language and economy, issues with cross-border languages and so on. It's good there is a stub for Sudan. Let's develop it, not delete it. --A12n 12:35, 7 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much for expanding it. Now that there is substantial content here, I agree it should not be merged. I'll take the tag off. --

No problem. Thanks for the positive response. I'd note in passing that completing the set of "Languages of (African countries)" is a kind of project, mentioned on another user's page. Languages of Sudan is of course on the list and although there is certainly much more work to be done on the article, it's good to know that its status is no longer in question. --A12n 11:36, 8 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What does it mean "is **NOT** a language dominated by Sudanese Arabic" ?? With no context or elaboration, this statement is bizarre... GreenAsJade (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 09:25, 18 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Out of date

This article appears to cover two countries: Sudan and South Sudan. -- 202.124.75.57 (talk) 09:42, 13 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
