First woman to hold a chair in obstetrics and gynaecology in the UK?

I doubt if she predates Margaret Fairlie (1891-1963) who was appointed Professor of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at University of Dundee in 1940.[1] The assertion seems to have come from the blurb for Miscarriage: What Every Woman Needs to Know. I vote to remove the assertion or modify it to "one of the first after Margaret Fairlie" to give fair due. Even then a citation is needed.--DadaNeem (talk) 22:07, 1 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
