move content to Indonesian Super League (Top level league in Indonesia)

Before the inception of

Indonesia Super League, Liga Indonesia is the top level in the pyramid of indonesian football league. In my opinion content of this article about Liga Indonesia before ISL era closely related to the ISL. I think, we should move that content from this article and then join to ISL article or new Indonesian top football league article. _Annas_ (talk) 08:47, 2 January 2011 (UTC)[reply

Merger proposal

I propose that

Liga Indonesia Premier Division. The article called "Liga Indonesia Premier Division" previously had the name "Indonesian Premier Division" but was then moved to "Liga Indonesia Premier Division" leaving a redirect at "Indonesian Premier Division". Later, a new article about the same division was created there instead of the redirect. Both articles are about the same subject, as far as I can see. Agree to merge them as per your comment. --  -iNu-  ►  03:42, 23 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I disagree, because Indonesian Premier Division is a different competition and now already defunct. Such as Indonesian Premier League. MbahGondrong (talk) 12:42, 23 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
MbahGondrong, what you are saying is not obvious to the reader when reading the articles. Could this be clarified in the two articles? Bandy boy (talk) 13:23, 23 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I disagree,
Liga Indonesia Premier Division, each competition is managed by different side, when Football Association of Indonesia is in dualism era. *Annas* (talk) 07:37, 24 March 2014 (UTC)[reply

  • Oppose: they are 2 different league and the Indonesia Premier League is now defunct. However I agree that all the Indonesian league articles are highly confusing, I would possibly support renaming the article to Indonesia Premier League (2011-2013) to clarify, but I have added an "about template to clarify a bit better.

Merger proposal 2

Indonesian Premier Division was renamed to Liga 2 (Indonesia) it makes sense to merge it into this article. Even Liga 3 (Indonesia) backs this up. Catfurball (talk) 18:49, 13 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
