Okay. Here's the deal. I have, somewhere, in my house, the complete list of ghost sightings in the Lincoln Bedroom. I'm no ghost freak, but I got this as a trial issue to some magazine, like TIME or something like that. • I'm documenting all the rooms of the White House. I was getting around to this one, but I've been putting it off because I wanted to redraw the floor plan of the second floor to create a free version (see Red Room (White House) and others in Category:Rooms in the White House). Even without a floor plan, this room deserves an article (altho mainly for its political uses and not for its ghost sightings). Over the last 3 years images featuring individuals have been added to the White House room articles. The room articles are primarily about the architecture and decorative arts of these rooms. While some text describing historic events that have happened in a particular room are important, if the event is significant enough to have its own article (

There are an abundant number of photographs showing the rooms without people, where the focus is on the architecture and decorative arts. The emphasis in adding a photograph is to illustrate the room and its furnishings, not an individual. If you must add images of people, please add them in the gallery feature. CApitol3 (talk)

Since, as I understand it, the White House was completely gutted during the Truman administration -- i.e. reduced to a shell and then the interior rebuilt more or less from scratch -- is it really accurate to say that this is the room Lincoln used as his personal office? Isn't really just a replica built in the same spot? I realize that this is sort of a philosophical question, but if (and correct me if I'm wrong) the original floor and walls were completely removed and rebuilt from scratch, is it really the same room? --Jfruh (talk) 05:24, 30 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Who actually spent a nite at the Lincoln Bedroom? There are anecdotes of Winston Churchill sleeping there in the 1940's, and also haunted by Lincoln's ghost.
