Photo?
Whilst the photo may indeed be a Lincolnshire sausage, the style of the sausage looks more like the characteristic spiral more commonly associated with the Cumberland sausage. Possibly a better picture exists?
Vegetarian version?
Cauldron and Sainsbury's both do vegetarian "Lincolnshire sausages". How do these meet the minimum meat content requirement in order to be allowed to use this label? -- Smjg (talk) 18:55, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
- Because the PDO application is still in the assessment phase. Consequently there is not yet any actual legal protection for the term "Linclonshire sausage", so manufacturers and retailers are able to punt any old dross under the Lincolnshire banner. Pyrope 20:56, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
- p.s. I see what has happened. Some well-meaning editor has introduced subheadings and moved text around without actually rereading it to make sure that everything still made sense (or indeed, ensuring that punctuation and syntax are correct)! I'll go back through and reorder some things (why are ingredients listed after flavourings, for instance) to improve the flow of information. Pyrope 21:06, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
Construction
I'm not sure I know what coarsely ground rather than minced actually means--Robert EA Harvey (talk) 20:38, 18 April 2013 (UTC)
