i recently created the fifa page, not realising that one existed, it has been merged now--Happyhaydn 21:26, 1 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Striker was the best ever. I miss him so much. Kicks Willie's arse anyday.

Yeah! Striker is the coolest mascot ever!El Chompiras 20:03, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

France '98 Footix

Does anyone else (probably only Americans) think Footix bears a very strong resemblance to the KU Jayhawk? Xyzzyva 21:18, 11 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Does anyone else think that the japs that created those...things were on crack? hola hola

Goleo

I guess it isn't entirely accurate to name the 2006 mascots Goleo and Pille as equals as stated in the article. The actual mascot is Goleo; Pille is the "sidekick" as best. --EnemyOfTheState 00:56, 3 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I guess you're right. I hope it's clearer now. --Gabbec 02:02, 3 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I think Pille should be in it as well. El Chompiras 20:58, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Pille was already noted as a sidekick; I don't think I've seen any official FIFA statement calling it a "mascot", but please point one out if you have. Thanks, --Gabbec 02:14, 29 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Argentina 1978

Listed here as Mundialito - I thought it was Gauchito - anyone confirm or deny.--Vintagekits (talk) 12:33, 13 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Mundialito redirection

Mundialito redirects to this page, maybe because the wrong name of the 78 mascot, that was already corrected. It should redirect to

1980 Mundialito, the tournament held in Uruguay. Rsnetto74 (talk) 02:04, 28 August 2009 (UTC)[reply

Images for 1982 and 1986

Images for Naranjito and Pique are available at a History page for the 2002 WC.

See http://worldcup.seoul.go.kr/en/2002/history/history_05.htm

The quality isn't great though. :(

Source for Qatar 2022 mascot

What source says it's going to be announced on Feb.21.21? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.189.4.21 (talk) 06:50, 29 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Qatar 2022

Can we please stop changing the Qatar 2022 mascot dates and speculation. Which twitter accounts say it's going be a camel, do they have ANY credibility? There is no source for this. What source says it's going be announced in February, then February 28th, then March. Who says it's going be a Whale named Whalid? Seriously stop speculating, provide a credible source for any of the claims your making. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.189.4.21 (talk) 22:14, 6 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
