Red links

Yes they are garish, though per

WP:REDLINKS they can encourage people to make new articles and help expand Wiki. The only problem is that a lot of SSSIs have names that don't match area names in reality, so it's tricky to find matching articles in many cases. A bit of local knowledge helps in that respect, to link colloquially named articles to formal names used by the government. Up to you if you want to retain or remove them, there is no strict policy as to their use, only not to intentionally red link trivial things not notable enough to ever need an article. Okay, do whichever way you prefer. Don't forget to round area values to 1dp per the note A (all SSSI pages do this, wasn't a trend I started, just maintained). Some site citation sheets only give one area value, I tend to convert and provide the other for the sake of completion. A calculator can be found at: http://www.thecalculatorsite.com/conversions/area/hectares-to-acres.php for 2-way convertion between hectares and acres, and vice-versa.
