Distinction between "domestic" and "regional"

What exactly is the distinction between "domestic" and "regional" in the third table ? Is it determined by the location of the destination, whether the destination is in the same or different state, the size or type of aircraft, or the identity of the aircraft operator ? The reference cited is a broken link. From a Sydney point of view, you could assess that flights to Dubbo are considered "regional" and flights to Melbourne are "domestic". How does it work though, for , say, Newman, where all the flights are categorised as domestic although (almost?) all of them would be to Perth.Eregli bob (talk) 07:11, 11 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
