I understand that Longreach, not only the home of QANTAS, also holds the max temperature record for continental Australia; 53.1C in 1889. Clearly from State govt records, as Comm. records started in mid 1920s. This needs to doubled-check by some one with access to state records.220.244.245.196 (talk) 22:47, 2 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
