Schedules
The list of schedules is not sourced. Also, it seems like it's an example of Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not. I might be wrong, but I don't think any of that stuff belongs and it's cluttering up the page. So I'm going to take it out. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by LAroboGuy (talk • contribs) 16:17, 25 June 2016 (UTC)
- LAroboGuy, the schedules were reinstated by the same user and I took them out again. Tvx1 14:55, 12 September 2016 (UTC)
The list of schedules are sourced! The sources of the schedules are from YouTube (where referenced) and http://sabrmedia.org/databases/network-tv-broadcasts/searchable-network-tv-broadcasts/ BornonJune8 (talk) 22:41, 17 September 2016 (UTC)
- Just being sourced isn't even remotely enough. They are utterly inappropriate. Tvx1 11:31, 18 September 2016 (UTC)
- You're talking out of both sides of you're you know what! On one end, you complain about how the list of schedules "aren't sourced". And after I give you some examples of them actually being sourced for the most part, you shot back in saying that they aren't even "remotely enough". And then, you don't clarify (while simultaneously wanting to "read me the supposed riot act") what is or isn't appropriate for this particular page in regards to the history of NBC's Major League Baseball television coverage. I guess, Wikipedia doesn't consider schedules as part as trying to be as comprehensive and informative as possible!? BornonJune8 (talk) 00:49, 17 September 2016 (UTC)
- The person claiming they weren't sourced wasn't me. Please look at the names at the ends of posts before launching accusations. My concern is them not being appropriate. Wikipedia is not a directory of every single sports match (let alone when and where) a broadcaster transmitted.Tvx1 13:19, 19 September 2016 (UTC)
- Technically, the article doesn't list or take for account All-Star Games or postseason games that have been broadcast by NBC. And the list isn't simply concentrated on the network/times but also the announcers themselves. Wouldn't you want to for example be curious about Vin Scully's national, non-Dodgers television work? And just because you have a problem w/ discussing "when and where" a broadcast was transmitted (since it doesn't fit w/ her personal world view) doesn't change the fact that said games originated in the afternoon on a Saturday. By this logic, I guess that it's inappropriate to list the time in which a game taking place in New York started if it's 1:00 over their yet 10:00 in the morning in California. Major League Baseball on NBC → Major League Baseball on NBC Sports – With NBC branded games produced by their sports department games now airing on Peacock it makes sense to add the sports to the title. Esolo5002 (talk) 01:54, 7 April 2022 (UTC)
- This is a contested technical request (talk) 16:04, 7 April 2022 (UTC)]
- Is the current title incorrect? Why make it less WP:CONCISE? -Kj cheetham (talk) 08:14, 7 April 2022 (UTC)]
- Substantially yes. Games are airing on Peacock and not NBC. This allows the article to have a larger scope, it's less concise but more precise. Esolo5002 (talk) 12:15, 7 April 2022 (UTC)
- But it's produced by NBC Sports, not on NBC Sports? I admit I don't understand the connection between Peacock and NBU, so I will leave this to someone else to look at. -Kj cheetham (talk) 13:09, 7 April 2022 (UTC)]

- Oppose: As noted above, this change would make the title less concise. This change would also make the title less encompassing because it discusses broadcasts on various NBC channels and NBC Radio, not just NBC Sports. Sewageboy (talk) 20:58, 7 April 2022 (UTC)
