Hopefully I am doing this correctly, I have not previously commented on any article so I apologize if I am doing this wrong. I am a conservatory trained musician and am listening to the Mannix theme song right now. I am certain this is not in 3/4 or Waltz time as it says in the main Mannix article. The Mannix theme song is played in 6/8 time, which is a multiple of 3 of course and may sometimes sound like 3/4 to a non-musician, but it is actually quite diffent from 3/4 time or a waltz. I'm hesitant to edit the main article myself but if another trained musician would confirm that the theme is in 6/8, an edit to the main article would be appropriate. When you search for a Wiki page on DuckDuckGo, a small box with a Wiki entry preview appears at the top of the search page. For some reason, this guy's image appears in that box when searching for Mannix: https://duckduckgo.com/i/afc7275e.jpg

There are plenty of episodes where Mannix's stint in the Army during the Korean War are referenced, but there's a curious side mention of possible Air Force service as well.

In the episode "Harvest of Death", the plot has someone trying to push a farmer out of business by killing off the cropdusters he's hired to keep his orange grove in operation.

The farmer and the owner of the local crop dusting company come to Joe's office, and the businessman ("Clint Carpenter") says "Dave tells me you flew together in Korea". A moment later, when Joe is reluctant to take on the role of crop dusting pilot because "it's precision flying", Dave responds "that's right. So is landing a fighter on a carrier deck in a typhoon. You did that, didn't you?"

Actor/director Georg Stanford Brown and Peter Deuel (Alias Smith and Jones) were in Eagles Sometimes Can't Fly. Many of the guest stars also guested on ST:TOS. In particular, the first time Leslie Parrish guested on Mannix, in one scene she wore the gown from TOS episode Who Mourns for Adonais, which, according to a famous book about that series, caused NBC lots of grief; there was no back to it and everybody was afraid the swath that covered her front would fall off. 100.15.127.199 (talk) 02:17, 10 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

William Ware Theiss was the costume designer for Star Trek:TOS. As noted in his Wiki entry, he deliberately designed the women's fashions that you thought could fall off or expose parts of the women that were not allowed on prime time TV. Yes, the dress in the Mannix episode had the ST:TOS dress. They used what was available in the costume department where the series was produced.Aspenguy2 (talk)
