The link for The Host is incorrect. It is current linked to the asian horror.

this would be a more helpful link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Host_%28novel%29#Film_adaptation

He Is Irish Too

From His Father Side He Is english But His Mother Is Irish SO He Is Irish-english Just Like Michael Fassbender Whose Father Is German And Mother Is Irish That Makes Him Irish-German — Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.163.250.93 (talk) 13:11, 25 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

His ethnicity may be, but the lead section is for nationality, not ethnicity. That means where he was born, not where his parents are from. –anemoneprojectors– 16:21, 26 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Nationality and birth place are two different concepts. "English" is not a nationality. Max Irons has a British father and Irish mother, and as such holds, since birth, dual British and Irish nationality following the citizenship laws of the UK and Republic of Ireland. See: British_nationality_law & Irish_nationality_law. I have now corrected the article to reflect this. 31.208.74.18 (talk) 13:55, 22 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
His "Irish" mother also has English parents, so your argument is invalid. Atotalstranger (talk) 21:19, 26 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, and her "English" father had an Irish father. How complicated do you want to make things? You should have read the article about Irish nationality law. Max Iron's mother, born in Ireland before 2004, is automatically an Irish citizen from birth. That makes Max Irons the son of an Irish-born Irish citizen, and that automatically makes him an Irish citizen from birth, by descent, according to Irish nationality law. He is, of course, being British-born and having a British father, also British. But he is also Irish as well. Welcome to the reality of the global world we live in today! 31.208.74.18 (talk) 00:59, 29 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Max Irons is born to an Irish-born Irish citizen. Irish nationality law is very clear on this: Max Irons hold Irish nationality since birth, irrespective of where he was born or who his father is. Unless proof can be found that Max Irons has legally renounced his Irish citizenship, "British-Irish" is the correct description of his nationality. Please understand that some people can hold multiple nationalities. 130.235.100.183 (talk) 17:44, 1 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
The user "English Bobby" keeps removing 'Irish' from the opening sentence without conributing to the talk section. It is clearly laid out here that M.I. has dual naionality. Unfortunately this is a major problem with Wikipedia, whereby patriotism goes above facts. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.171.253.241 (talk) 00:29, 25 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
That's a little rich coming from you. You've (under many different IP's) been desperately trying to add that he has Irish citizenship, despite it already being mentioned in the info-box, for no more reason than blind patriotism. Anonymous IP's trying to make every modern day celebrity Irish or of Irish descent is an actual problem here.--

I am adding the facts. This is an ecyclopedia. Deal with it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 145.108.180.143 (talk) 19:06, 25 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Facts already there. You're POV pushing. It's all you do over your multiple IP addresses and it's sad.--

From what I gather, you go around Wikipedia changing mentions of "British" to "English". Max Irons has dual British and Irish nationality since birth, and it was accurately described in the opening sentence as such before you came along and decided to delete one of the nationalities. That is POV pushing. Who are you to decide that dual nationals should not be described as such? We live in a global village. It is difficult for some to understand this. 82.171.253.241 (talk) 00:06, 26 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
And it simply stated English before you came along with your POV Irish nationalism and decided your way is the only way regardless of what everyone else thinks. The info box already stated his citizenship and as is the common practice on Wikipedia it did not need to be stated again. This is common on Wikipedia bio articles but some do find that hard to understand.--

It's not Irish nationalism. He has two nationalities since birth because he has an English father and Irish mother. He also says himself that he is half-half. So I listed both nationalities in the opening sentence to reflect the facts. I have no preference to either one. In fact, I listed Irish second on the basis of alphabetical order. You are the one who insisted on removing one of the nationalities from the sentence and displaying only English. You are the one displaying a preference towards one of the two nationalities, not me. 82.171.253.241 (talk) 09:44, 26 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
