Turner passes away

I just added his "Death" section. FearEmbodied (talk) 10:02, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for being so prompt. I fixed a few things up like tagging it as a recent death (and removed the section as it probably wasn't needed). (Emperor (talk) 12:53, 28 June 2008 (UTC))[reply]

Cool, cool. I was being a bit hasty.FearEmbodied (talk) 20:48, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

i removed the anonymous addition "He Will be missed by comic fans everywhere". true, but inappropriate here i think HieronymousCrowley (talk) 11:42, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Civil War Variants?

I never heard of Turner until the CW variants - beautiful stuff, I might add - and I was wondering if it merits special attention in the article. Check out the ebay bidding wars already going on for these things! - User:Darkhawk

His Civil war covers don't deserve any extra acclaim in comparison to his other works. His DC covers and work on Superman/Batman was just as popular and high profile.

External Link : cover gallery

I propose to put a link towards a gallery of various variant covers of Michael Turner. This is the link : http://abcovers.free.fr/index.php?option=com_ponygallery&Itemid=26&func=viewcategory&catid=19 I think a cover gallery on the wiki page of an artist is appropriate, do you think it is?Kaperni | Talk 18:09, 13 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree, the site has a fairly small compilation of his art in comparison to how many Turner has truly done. More over, going to his online store at Aspen's site you will likely see more of his covers. Though a link to a cover gallery would be nice, that one seem inadequate for the position. Even if the site is not exhaustif, it contains all the same 200 covers and has the merit to exist. It's certainly not what I would call a "fairly small compilation". The online store is a commercial one, and the picture are small.Kaperni | Talk 10:35, 24 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move

Michael Turner (artist) → Michael Turner (comic artist) — There is another famous artist also called Michael Turner, who is famous for his paintings of aviation and automobiles, consider this link to prove my point —Willirennen 17:22, 1 December 2007 (UTC)[reply

Coming from
boldly as you see fit. I would only add that the most common parenthetical for this type of article seems to be "(comics)" - that has the added advantage of not making the parenthetical longer. Happy editing! Dekimasuよ! 00:48, 6 December 2007 (UTC)[reply

Surgery

Just a grammar point / clarification. The article indicates that "he lost a hip, 40% of his pelvis, and three pounds of bone." Are these the same thing, or in addition to one another? Did the three pounds of bone constitute 40% of his pelvis? Or did he lose three pounds of bone in addition to 40% of his pelvis? Given that the pelvis is the hips, I think this needs to be rephrased anyway. Cheers. LordAmeth (talk) 09:06, 20 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Michael Layne Turner or Michael Lane Turner

I'm not an expert, but comicbookdb lists his name as Michael Lane Turner. This is also the spelling used in goodreads FWIW.--Muhandes (talk) 15:41, 4 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
