I agree with the edit summary by anon 64.12.116.132. Having no mention of Gary Glitter in an article about Mike Leander is patently absurd; it's like writing an article about Bernie Taupin and not mentioning Elton John.

Although one must assume it was an accidental omission (Assume Good Faith and all that), this sort of thing does concern me. There appears to be a concerted effort within the British media to write Glitter out of the history books (his songs are not played on the radio, 1970s retrospectives do not mention him), and as a fan of Glitter's music (rather than the man himself) I would hate to see the likes of Wikipedia go down the same path. Agree, the anon. user and I seemed to get the same idea at the same time. Writing people out of history won't solve the issue of their behaviour. Cheers, Ian Rose 01:11, 10 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

However I'm dissapointed to see that his collaboration with the English rock band Oasis was not mentioned in the article — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.228.48.198 (talk) 00:39, 2 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
