Great Story

As with many Negro League players, the stories about Suttles are wild. Some of them may even be true. My favorite is the one about the Stars playing the Crawfords in Pittsburgh. Suttles hit one so far that no one saw it come down. The next day, the team traveled to Philadelphia to play the Hilldales. A Hilldale outfielder caught a ball out of the sky, and the ump goes, "Hey, Suttles. You're out, yesterday, in Pittsburgh!" As I said, very likely not true, but still a helluva story. There can be only one...TheKurgan (talk) 19:44, 25 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
