Vidal comment re Sarne

Hello all- I placed the "better source needed" template in the Production section while copyediting it. I found several internet mentions of Gore Vidal having written something in Esquire commenting that Michael Sarne was now working in a pizza restaurant and that this was proof of God's existence. Also found an archive of Vidal's essays on the Esquire site, but could not find a reference among the links there. If Vidal did make this comment, it could be that he was simply quoted somewhere in Esquire and the comment was not part of a piece he wrote in the mag. If someone has access to a thorough record of Esquire contents, it would be helpful to have a reference here. Eric talk 17:35, 25 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
