Lead

Please review Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Lead section. Right now the lead section appears to be about Nantucket history and not about its Revolutionary War history. The article potentially runs the risk of deletion, if it doesn't meet Wikipedia's notability guidelines. Specifically, having "received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject, [a topic] is presumed to be suitable for a stand-alone article or list." From your summary, so far the topic doesn't meet Wikipedia's criteria. If there's significant material to be notable, you could change the title to "Nantucket during the Revolutionary War". "In the Revolutionary War" implies to me that the island participated, somehow. Sincerely, User:HopsonRoad 18:31, 16 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This article still needs a summary of the article in the lead section. Currently, the section just describes where Nantucket is. That material should be moved to Background. Cheers, HopsonRoad (talk) 15:40, 19 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Referencing Wikipedia

Hi User:‎Conrad.troast, this is to let you know that one may not use Wikipedia as a citable source, one simply links. If it's important to validate the content, then one can use the citation at the other end of the link. User:HopsonRoad 19:53, 28 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Use of caps in titles of articles and their section headings

Please note that article titles have capital letters in the same manner, as if they were in a sentence. See:
