"It’s Time to Haul Down Another Flag of Racist Hate"
This article is really interesting and I don't see any of this material covered in the Wikipedia article http://www.newsweek.com/its-time-haul-down-another-flag-racist-hate-361929 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fxm12 (talk • contribs) 15:54, 12 August 2015 (UTC)
"Incorrect Information
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_League_of_Families_POW/MIA_Flag#History has this bit The league's POW-MIA flag is the only flag ever displayed in the rotunda, and the only one other than the Flag of the United States to have flown over the White House.
This has no cites at all and is contradicted by https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flags_at_the_White_House
Which talks about multiple flags that have flown over the white house, including two foreign flags - France and Serbia There are even multiple cites for the serbian flag See also this video by the ambassador https://twitter.com/USEmbassySerbia/status/1020952134051876865
for the record - deleting

"The POW/MIA Flag Isn't 'Racist Hate,' It's Support for Veterans and Their Families"
FYI For anyone wishing to work some of the Perlstein article into the Wikipedia
This isn't a balanced article
I read this article in hopes of learning more about the history and acceptance of this flag. I feel like I only got half the story. Rklawton (talk) 04:41, 2 January 2016 (UTC)

What do you believe is gained by having "also known as the POW/MIA flag" immediately after the words "POW/MIA flag"? I don't see anything "also" about it. 73.71.251.64 (talk) 15:47, 9 July 2021 (UTC)
- 73.71.251.64 Because the full sentence reads "The National League of Families POW/MIA flag, also known as the POW/MIA flag or simply the POW flag, consists of a silhouette of a prisoner of war (POW) before a guard tower and barbed wire in white on a black field." meaning that the flag is known by 3 names: The National League of Families POW/MIA flag, the POW/MIA flag and the POW flag. Your edit deleting the POW/MIA flag is incorrect because it removes one of those names. Do you understand that "The National League of Families POW/MIA flag" and "the POW/MIA flag" are different? Mztourist (talk) 17:10, 9 July 2021 (UTC)
- What an astonishing coincidence that one name exactly matches the end of another. 73.71.251.64 (talk) 20:11, 11 July 2021 (UTC)
