As a source of joke material?
There are many references to netcraft on technology sites like slashdot quoting Netcraft as having stated that a particular operating system or other entity is "dead" or "dying", perhaps something should be added to this effect? OxDEADBEEF 00:38, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

I agree with this - Netcraft has a place in internet culture that predates this blurb as it stands. The early history of Netcraft and its place in the web needs more attention on here. I'll look into it.
