"Sovereign countries"
Can someone explain what is meant by "none of the individual islands could apply for membership following a 1995 decision that membership is only open to sovereign countries"? There are numerous non-sovereign countries with Olympic teams including, for instance, Aruba. Is there some sort of grandfather clause, meaning that new non-sovereign territories can't participate but those with existing Olympic committees can continue? --Jfruh (talk) 20:52, 7 July 2011 (UTC)
