A note on Manual of Style

I have made a minor edit (but an important one which quite a few users are unaware of, including me!) with regards to the sub-heading of External links. According to this page, the external link section should always have the term of External links. If all articles in Wikipedia were to follow this style, the articles in this project would be more consistent in MOS format, raising the professionalism of this encyclopedia. Granted, this may seem such an unimportant observation on my part to some users, but if the idea of consistency is not followed as close as possible, new users and outsiders of the Wikipedia community would take this encyclopedia less seriously. In my humble opinion, it is the observance of these minor detalis that seperate the elite encyclopedias to the good ones. --Siva1979Talk to me 08:20, 15 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

External links section - FCHD

I added the page in FCHD for New Milton Town, because I thought this was a useful link for searching for further information about the subject. This was deleted because the FCHD entry for Lymington & New Milton had been mentioned as a source. I know that the two pages in FCHD link to each other, but the Lymington & New Milton page is a historic document, and the New Milton Town page is a current document. So I thought that it was appropriate to add the New Milton Town page, which is not used as a source, in the External links. Is there a general Wikipedia policy regarding FCHD page links for clubs that have changed their name recently? Coyets (talk) 22:00, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
